Our Grantmaking
Our Grant Application process
The Westerman Foundation has transitioned to an invitation-only grant application process and is no longer accepting unsolicited applications.
Organizations invited to apply will receive direct communication from the Foundation with information regarding funding opportunities, application requirements, important dates, and next steps. We will continue to share updates as our grantmaking process evolves and encourage invited organizations to watch for future communications from The Westerman Foundation.
Funding priorities
The Westerman Foundation seeks to support organizations and initiatives that reflect our commitment to Catholic education, women's empowerment, and family resiliency.
Guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, we give particular consideration to programs that uphold human dignity, expand educational opportunity, strengthen families, serve vulnerable populations, and create meaningful, lasting impact.
Geographic focus
The Westerman Foundation's grantmaking is primarily focused in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Louisiana, reflecting our founder, Laura Jane Westerman longstanding ties to these states and the communities within them.
While these represent the Foundation's primary geographic focus, our grantmaking is not limited exclusively to these areas. The Foundation may consider opportunities to partner in other communities when an organization's mission, work, and impact strongly align with our funding priorities and mission.
"So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
Corinthians 13:13
